Worth visiting!
I’ve got used to classifying villages as cities or towns on this site but this village is a city, the smallest in the UK, by virtue of is lovely cathedral.
This is NOT one of the cathedrals built to appear magnificent from afar. The fear of Irish raiders from the sea prevented that -so it’s built in a bit of a dip and can’t be seen from very far away. Howevr it’s beutifully constructed from almost crimson stone. The adjacent Bishop’s Palace adds to its architectural charm,
St David’s is situated in the centre of a beautiful ring of cliffs, beaches and antiquities.
