A review of this place: Chiswick is great!!
I have lived in Chiswick since I was 4, nearly 15 years and it is great. I’m at University in Bedford at the moment but I miss Chiswick, it a very friendly place with everything you need and if it doesnt have something you need just jump on one bus and that will take you anywhere. It’s so easy to get to, there are 4 tube stations in chiswick (if you include stamford brook), and everyone should check it out for a place to live!!!!

I live here
I moved here from Hammersmith in 2004 when we were expecting our second child (Chiswick is much more family-friendly). It’s a great place to live if you don’t need too much night-life and if you love to eat out.
I also run my business from an office in the Barley Mow Centre by Turnham Green.

News about this place
I just got the WestSide magazine through my letter box and found out that the first Open Chiswick event will take place on the weekend of the 16th and 17th of September. I tried to add it as an event in Chiswick but 43places absolutely wants a venue, which doesn’t make sense in this case.

Cheese Farm
The name, Chiswick (don’t pronounce the w), comes from the Old English for Cheese Farm, as there was probably one of those in the area a long time ago. It has since disappeared and been replaced by this quiet and leafy suburb of London, close to the centre and still very far from it. Walking around the high street, window shopping, buying fruit and veg at the market, having a picnic on the green, a pint along the river or enjoying a coffee with friends, you would never think you are only 30 minutes from the mayhem of Piccadilly Circus.
This is home and where I recharge my batteries after the daily stress of the City.
