What I imagine this place to be like — 5 months ago
I can’t wait to walk the cobblestone streets of Old San Juan. I hopefully will be able to do just that in September of this year!

Not worth it!
Old San Juan is a lot like any “old” city or old quarter you might find in many cities. Cute but not really worth a whole afternoon or anything.

Worth visiting!
The cathedral where Ponce de Leon is buried is incredible – the oldest church in the Western Hemisphere. The fort is amazing, too – wandering through a structure that was constructed over a period of almost 500 years! And I had a pina colada at the bar that allegedly invented the drink …

Worth visiting!
I LOVE Viejo San Juan. I’ve been twice over the past five years and I still feel like I haven’t seen everything I want to see. The city is beautiful with the pastel houses, cooblestone streets, the fort!
