Marc1 (or anyone) re: Mustique by mommy_barbie
We read with interest your note below.
We are a family of four with kids 10 and 13, and we have schedule a trip to the Grenadines that skips Mustique and includes St. Vincent, Bequia, and Petit St. Vincent).
We were thinking of changing our plans, cancelling everything and simply going to maybe just Bequia and Mustique.
Finding nice accomodations for a family of four has been frustrating, e.g. Young Island on St. Vincent charges incredible prices for poor rooms and outdated surroundings – even Mustique is not fit for a family unless you want to spend 7 to 12, 000 USD for a week. This frustration has in part prompted us to reconsider our decision (plus the beaches posted online for Mustique look nicer than the beaches on the other islands).
Did we make a mistake in not overnighting in Mustique and chosing these other islands instead and should we reconsider and go to Mustique (if we can get there)??
You noted that you will not be going back. Just curious – which beach destinations in the Caribbean would you return to and why?
