Xochicalco aka: Archeological Monuments Zone of Xochicalco

If you can get there when the sun crosses the zenith (May 14th & 15th and July 28th & 29th), you can get the full effect of the observatory). You can get a partial view between these dates.

Beautiful ancient ruins, weird sports stadium, mystical light in a pyramid and stunning views…worth doing!

Xochicalco has one of the only pre-Columbian observatories that you can enter and see in action. It’s very interesting. This was a super important site but not very visited. Many ancient cultures converged here.

A huge, important archeological site not far from Mexico City. Not to be missed if you’re in the area. A short way off the road between Taxco and Mexico City.
