I lived in Sydney for 3 months, and i have to say every time I walked down to Sydney Harbour it never failed to take my breath away and make my hairs stand on end, no matter how many times I saw it. I spent New years 07/08 watching the fireworks – an amazing time! I prefer Melbourne to Sydney overall but Sydney Harbour is breathtaking!

Great place for taking photo by Nannie Starrison

if you wanna really be there…you have to cross this bridge :) or even climb it!

you also can take a lot of picture of surrounding and such from the bridge and of course, the bridge itself.

anyway if u’r a girl, backpacking alone on the bridge , u should beware of ppl who wanna annoy you. if u were annoyed then go to security guard for safety

NYE 2006 Celebration by TheMagi

My friends and I were among the crowd who viewed the spectacular fireworks display that served as the highlight of Sydney’s 2006 New Year’s Eve celebration from Mrs Macquaire’s Chair, which provides one of the best vantage points for viewing the Harbour … The papers reported that more than a million people turned up at several areas around Sydney Harbour to watch one of Australia’s largest fireworks display in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the opening of the Coathanger – the Sydney Harbour Bridge – which was actually in March 2007 … We got there in the afternoon and stayed on until past midnight … People from all over the world joined in the festivities … The fireworks display started at 9 pm followed by the final one at 12 midnight … One had to queue to buy food and drink, use the portable toilets, and weave one’s self in and out of the crowd, but the importance of the occasion and the well-orchestrated fireworks display made it, for me, an event to remember …

Sydney is Australia’s oldest established city and is the birth place of our country. It is the capital in every way but name. There are so many natural attractions coves beaches cliffs bushwalks historical sites all sitting alongside skyscrapers architectural wonders like the opera house and the harbour bridge. It is a vibrant city that offers hundreds of fantastic restaurants with food from all corners of the world, beautiful views from every direction…a photographers paradise.A bustling happening lifestyle with friendly people and good weather most of the time although summer can be quite humid.Sydney has come along way from its early convict days and is now a city full of energy vibrancy where old and new blend so well. It is one of the most beautiful cities i have encountered. If you get the chance to go please do. You will not be dissapointed.Enjoy Love Elle xxx
