My parents and I walked down the path into Wilder Ranch from the upper Twin Gates Entry point. The view was amazing, the fields were beautiful in fall colors, and trail was wide and well maintained. We passed several groups of people, but in no way did it feel crowded. We saw several people on bikes but I’m not sure if that is allowed or not.

The ocean at it's finest by Jason Sutter

A very accessible trail/bike path winds through poppy fields and ocean cliffs. It makes for an excellent short trip. Or you can head in further, find a nice cove, and spend the day watching the waves crash into the cliffs.
