Rubber band  — 2 years ago

Worth visiting!

Three times now I’ve been in Bukhara, the magical old city in Uzbekistan. It has lots of beautiful Islamic architecture, an unspoilt old town center, warm, welcoming people. And not to forget the most delicious bread I’ve ever had! Just thinking of that bread, I can smell and taste it again.

It’s not as grand as Samarkand, but more intimate and somehow timeless.

An invisible rubber band has tied me to Bukhara and continues to pull me back. One day, I’ll taste that bread again!
