It was a bonus to be so upclose to the singers, and to have narrative from ex-sopranos, and clips (a 60 min bio on Anna Netrebko, and one on characters going mad in operas). We had 1 technical difficulty during the broadcast, in the midst of Elvira going mad at home.
This opera was very harmonious, a canto belle the reporter kept saying. A love story. As the reporter asked, “Is the story simpler a hanger for the music?”
This was my first classic opera too, wow, 2 intermissions, quite long.
It was amazing how Anna Netrebko could lie on her back and sing, but the sound was not distorted the slightest.

How this place changed my life
I practically lived here when I was in high school. The campus was beautiful even before they began renovating, and roaming the sidewalks of the 10 or so blocks around Lincoln Center was one of the defining moments of my youth.

Just picked up my tickets for the nutcracker and the magic flute
woohoo!
I’m going on my own, since it’s hard to get people to go to the ballet and the opera, especially without my mum here.

The last time I went to this place
I had my High School graduation ceremony at Lincoln Center. I went to the High SChool for Music, Art, and the Performing Arts, which is just down the block! The fountain is a lovely and romantic place to sit and relax, especially in the summer, if you can find a free spot to sit.
