Another Smithsonian Museum.. by Ursula Haigh
This small scaled & very manageable museum was a welcome surprise after a long few days tramping through the larger scale museums. I had a couple of favorites here- Game Fish which was made up of all sorts of game pieces and fashioned into a large Sword fish or Marlin type of fish- work of art. Very clever & just the sort of thing that fascinates me to no end! Also Ghost Clock is INCREDIBLE! Carved from Honduran bleached & natural mahogany I had to catch myself from reaching out to touch it.It looks like a grandfather clock draped in a sheet.
