The first time I went to this place
Worth it, worth it, worth it! I loved this place and realized on the way out that I had missed an entire (larger) section in the back, but I already had a stack of nine books, so I saved it for next time. What an amazing place!

A review of this place: Be Greedy!
Yes, They actually want you to take as many books as you desire. The Book Place has no clinical facade, no sterile floors or starched-white walls. It has none of the sparkling amenities endorsed by capitalist consumerism. Instead, it has honest shelves of books lining every wall, with empty boxes in a corridor for connoisseurs who just can’t leave with a mere armful. Located in a nondescript corner of Charles Village, The Book Thing is the Best Thing since the Guttenberg’s printing press. All hail the free distribution of literature!

Why I recommend this place to visitors
When I first heard about this I wondered how it could work-giving away books for free. Anybody who loves to read could spend hours.

take way more than one
Great place to shop when you’re broke.. or just don’t know what you’re looking for. You can find it there. Free books.. free.. as in no money. Way cool.. some books go out of my house and into theirs.. and some just come home with me.
