Sutton Bank by Regal
Located on Roulston Scar ,Sutton Bank sits the White Horse .
Local businessman Thomas Taylor came up with the idea and with the help of local school master John Hodgson and his pupils plus additional volunteers the horse was all finished in 1857 . It is now a popular tourist attraction where many people enjoy the scenic walks along its parameters.
I too have enjoyed many pleasant days out here , parking in the official car park and then strolling along on one of its many dog friendly paths before heading back to the car for a cup of tea in the visitor centre cafe
