I remember this place most fondly as where I read a book about Justinian and Theodora, ironically. It’s Lebanese food and it’s fantastic… their baba ganoush will make you swoon and I can’t get enough of that salad with the cheese and the tomato.

On a dorky side note, I think it’s the only restaurant in Edmonton that plays CNN and Al-Jazeerah news. And you used to be able to smoke sheesha here before the smoking bylaw, but I’m not sure about that anymore.

EDIT 9 May 2006: They totally redesigned the place! Their baba ganoush and falafel still kick butt but that salad is gone and there’s this big projection TV instead of the news now. Oh well.
