Ray's Boathouse

hasn’t been to Ray’s Boathouse on their Birthday!!Went here yesterday with a friend after attending the Weyerhauser Species Garden Fall plant sale & enjoyed a delicious Nicoise Salad with seared Ahi tuna! and it was absolutely FREE!!We had a window table and enjoyed watching the sailboats, sealion chasing salmon and the heron perched on the roof next door.

while ray’s boathouse has an excellent location with a gorgeous view, i found the food totally uninspired. my particular dish was smothered in squiggles (clearly from squeeze bottles) of various, multicolored sauces, as if to disguise my fish.

i guess from such a local favorite, i was expecting the food to be better than chili’s.

Go at sunset! My husband took me here for Valentine’s Day and went to great pains to ensure we got there right before sunset. Its unfortunate that sunset comes so early in February, but even though I cursed all the way from Redmond to get home on time, it was well worth it.
