Lupa Osteria Romana

It wasn’t my idea and I was very apprehensive about going to a “celebrity” restaurant. I don’t watch tv, so my impression was that it’d be something akin to Planet Hollywood.

But oh how I was wrong.

I was there for the easter sunday prix fixe dinner. five or six courses in a fairly casual environment with a great non-stuffy staff.

Very simple and thoughtfully crafted dishes filled with beautiful flavor.

The most delicious meal I’ve ever had.

Lupa is one of the Mario Batali places. The food is simple yet perfectly prepared. We shared drinks and verdure. There seems to always be some sort fo sformato – a veggie custard and we had fennel – exquisite. We also had shaved Brussel sprouts with pecorino cheese and olive oil – yum.
