Book online… it’s slightly less expensive and you won’t have to deal with the hostess, who was not overly friendly.

You get 45 minutes in the ice room – included in your price is one drink. Keep your ‘glass’ for a following drink and it will set you back 85 SEK (more if you don’t keep it).

The bar gets revamped a couple times a year, so it’s always different. If you’re not able to make it here there are also ice bars in Copenhagen, London, and I believe Tokyo + Shanghai.

Last summer I paid a visit to the Icebar with two friends of mine. It’s an all-year bar made out of ice, just like the famous Ice Hotel in the north (which is only there during the winters though). The bar is located in the middle of Stockholm and to keep it around during the summer it’s located in a specially constructed giant freezer (with windows! :D).

I highly recommend that you pay a visit if you ever pass through Stockholm and feel like a drink (from a glass made by nothing but ice!). If you want company, let me know a while in advance and I just might be able to come join you! :)
