Hyde Park

Oh god, I hate Hyde Park so much. The University of Chicago is great, but the rest…everything closes early, and it’s boring even when things are open. Awful neighborhood, awful food, nothing to do…what crap.

I’ve walked ALL over Hyde Park in the cool October rain trying to get to a meeting place that I never got to because I was turning purple. So I went to the Science and Industry museum to thaw out. Great place. It was always one of my favorite museums. I must have passed by hundreds of Thai restaurants. I refuse to believe that I circled the same block a hundred times passing by the same ones over and over. The neighborhoods are also nice. Lots of Chicago-y character. If I ever moved back to Chicago, Hyde Park is one of the places on my list of real estate to look into.

There’s gotta be more to this place than my classes and bad food. Really, there must be more.
