A place of family roots by NedRaggett
Many families who settled here — notably the Breens and the Regans — ended up as part of my own family background, and the family’s plot is still found here. But it’s a beautiful, strangely isolated spot on its own, and I’ve been back many times over the years. It never was located on a main railroad or highway, and that was probably for the best in terms of the place retaining its old character, though that said it’s a bit of a backwater as a result. But a nice one to visit.
