i went to a performance of rachmaninoff’s vespers by the bach society of st. louis. GORGEOUS, visually and aurally.

Gorgeous place, but very dark—if you’re planning on photographing, go with as high a film speed as you can manage. They’re also very understanding about tripods, provided you aren’t obnoxious about it.

And, obviously, be considerate and go during a quiet, empty time of day.

A friend and I were visiting St. Louis and accidently stumbled upon this place. We spent hours looking at the ceiling. WOW, the most beautiful place I have ever been.

It’s gorgeous! I love it there. I’ve been there many many times but it still takes my breath away. Mosaics COVER the walls and celing…all of it. It’s absolutely incredible! GO…I promise you won’t be let down.
