Some idiot did almost push me over the railing… and another idiot did almost drown after jumping off of said railing… but all that aside it was amazing! Gorgeous! Loved it! over 2 years agoUntitled by s0bI arrived in La Jolla on the last few days of my honeymoon last year, checked into the hotel, and started to throw up. alas, my wife and I both came down with food poisoning and didn’t get a chance to see any of La Jolla or the rest of the city It looked so beautiful and I would like to return over 2 years agoUntitled by katertot07La Jolla is beautiful, so if the ritzy nature of the place is keeping you away, don’t let it. I went sea kayaking through a tour group in the area. We did not get as close to the caves/cliffs as I would have liked due to the waves, but the view is spectacular. It is also loads of fun, the best part being when you kayak surf right as you are returning to the beach. Kayak surfing is such a blast I will do it again next time I go to San Diego. over 3 years agoUntitled by russellviiiWhen I was in San Diego a couple of weeks ago I called Fred, one of my dear old friends. He came and met me downtown and we cruised around the city together and just talked. He asked me if I had ever been to La Jolla Cove. I couldn’t remember ever visiting. He took me to it. It was interesting to see the seals lying on the beach. There was a young woman standing sitting near the stairs, trying to tell us that we shouldn’t go onto the beach as it disturbs the critters. Fred told me to ignore her. She wasn’t any kind of ranger, just some busybody who thought that people shouldn’t go onto the beach. We walked around. We kept our distance. We didn’t want to disturb them. They were interesting to see, but the stench was pretty strong. over 4 years agoSee all 8 entries |
