Apple Valley

So we had a really good time. We camped at Mojave Narrows Regional Park, which is a lovely oasis in the desert.

I was actually surprised that there is so much in Apple Valley. I mean, they even have the classic pair of Starbucks where you can stand in one and see the other. Not that that’s a draw…but you aren’t leaving civilization when you come to Apple Valley.

I went there today, for a house call patient.
And would you believe, R8, that some people are known to refer to this place as “Crapple Valley”?

I lived here once before and moved all around and have now returned. I don’t know a lot of the area, and it’s certainly changed from when I first lived here, but I kinda like it. Course I don’t really know because most of my time is spent on the way to work or at work. Maybe someone can show me around here or something. I would recommend it because it’s so different from pretty much anywhere I’ve lived. Course if you aren’t used to living on a dessert, it’s quite an adjustment. It took me a while to get used to the weather and the atmosphere.

I live here….it’s the high desert so it’s hot, but it’s got its own strange kind of beauty.
