Worth visiting!
Fascinating
This museum was amazing. The ship itself is astonishingly complete for having been underwater for so long, and the rest of the museum adds a lot to the boat itself, in terms of detail and context.
It is a great building too.
Agree with other comments that it is difficult to get good photos inside

Fascinating
This is a well presented museum where you can slowly walk around the ship in a spiraling motion. Recommend you buy postcards. It is hard to get pictures with the lighting.
Highly reccomend visiting

takes at least 1,5 hours in case you allow to become fascinated by looking in detail at this wonderful ship
yes, indeed, it is “just a ship” – but it is spectacular!!

Why I recommend this place to visitors
A really fascinating museum, very informative and it’s great to be able to get up close to the ship. What an amazing sight it must have been to see the Vasa being lifted up from the seabed after 333 years!

Why I recommend this place to visitors
I first read about the VASA as a kid, and the idea of an intact warship from the 1600s really fascinated me.
I’ve visited the VASA Museum twice, and it’s amazing. You can get up close and really see the ship up close. There are also a series of displays that show the ship’s contents.
This is a “don’t miss” when in Stockholm.
