Terror Háza aka: House of Terror Museum

This museum was the most amazing museum I have ever been to. You’ll learn SO much about Nazi culture and the operations of the secret police. It’s unbelievably moving and the last exhibit will surely move you more than any other exhibit has before. DEFINTITELY go to this museum in you’re in Budapest.

Go, go, go, it is so well done and very effective. There is a lot of reading, but unlike other museums the information is printed out and placed throughout the exhibit. It’s a wonderful system because this way you can take all of the print outs with you and read them whenever you want. On the plane ride home, for example. It’s very moving.

What every modern museum should be. Dramatic, theatrical, great design, great use of media. Very moving. Will make you think differently about the rest of your visit to Budapest and Hungary.
