Flaine

Flaine is a great place for skiing. It doesn’t have charming wooden chalets but it is a station built for skiing and has one of the highest snowfalls in France. From Flaine you can see the Mont Blanc and there are slopes where you could ski without stopping for kilometres and kilometres. If you have young children, you could consider staying at Capvacances, they have a nursery and 2 clubs for children, you just leave your kids with them and spend your day skiing, and all 3 meals are taken care of, there is entertainment every evening etc. I took lessons with the Ecole de Ski Française a few weeks ago and had a great time.
