Plateau Mont Royal

it was my neighbourhood from 1989 to 2004! it wasn’t even a possibilty for me to live elsewhere in montreal. it’s the best. i still consider it home.
if any of you do plan on moving there, i really urge you to learn frnech & not be one of those hip anglos taking over the plateau!
it’s a relaxed, vibrant french speaking neighbourhood that has become bilingual basically. that’s fine, but nobody wants english to take over & erase the french! the plateau is also very latino & african.
just talking about it makes me miss it. boohoo.
i want to hop on my old bicycle & sing francoise hardy tunes to myself as i ride through the little streets.
