Avalon International Breads

Best damn bread and pastries in the city. One of the things I miss most about Detroit.

If you’re going to eat bread, it may as well be delicious. I love their brioche, challah and sticky buns (you can taste the butter in them). My kids love it here too… whenever I go shopping there, I have to hide a part of it just so it won’t be all gone by the end of the day. Even if you’re afraid of carbs… go at least once. You’ll love it~

you must stop at Avalon. They have the most amazing bread and other baked goods. Tons of vegan options. I highly recommend the peanut butter chocolate chip cookies, and any of the bread…oh, and the focaccia. I miss this place so much, I used to go there almost every morning. Detroit has so many wonderful places, you just have to know where to find them.
