Wonderful! by kjacob

If you visit Green Bay or if you live in Green Bay, but haven’t been to the sanctuary in a while, go to the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary. I went with my niece, (10 years old), and we had a great time. There are trails to walk, a pond, an observation tower, a kid friendly visitors center, and animal exhibits. Walking the trails there is no hint of the industrial skyline just outside the sanctuary. It’s a great place to get away. The animal exhibits are probably the best part. Many of the animals are rescue animals, unable to be released into the wild, so zoo wary people should not be deterred. The exhibits are very nice, creative, peaceful and obviously designed with the animals well being in mind. My niece and I both loved the time we spent there. It’s a good alternative to the mall if you want to spend quality time with someone. There are also some nice educational aspects, especially concerning conservation. Many of them are very clever, too. So, if you’re going to Bay Beach Amusement Park, make some time to go across the way to the sanctuary. It’s well worth the time.
