Well worth the price by Ninja Neko

Highest quality museum we visited in Rome, very well maintained. Disgusting bathrooms though, so be warned. All the ‘ancient’ objects were in very good state, with info provided about each of them. Some of the statues were in repair, but reparations were done behind glass walls so you could see how it was done. I didn’t like the painting section though. Sure they have 2 Caravaggio’s, but not his greatest (seen better and for free in Santa Maria del Popolo). The collection in le Chateaux de Chantilly was larger and better. But the museum is well worth a visit just for the ‘ancient Rome’ sections.
