The Eastcoast

The eastcoast of Bornholm consists of, starding from northeast ending in southeast.

Melsted,Listed,Svaneke,Grisby,Aarsdale,Nexø,Balka and snogebæk.

These citites are the timeless ones, not much have changed since the begining of the 20th century. The interesting thing in this part of the island there is another mentality and also a diffrent dialect than the rest of the island. Time is not that importaint and there are no stressfull jobs or anything to speed the whole thing up.

Enjoying life. Is the key to the eastcoast, as soon as the summer sets in, in juli the local town outdoor parties starts off,Svaneke and Snogebæk are the larges ones, 2500-5000 people, But do visit Aarsdale, this is the ultimate summer experience to be had in this part of the island. Sankt Hans is another event were the children(12-13y)gets together to collect flowers and make everything ready for the midsummer fest that is common in scandinavia. Don`t miss the midsommer party in last week of juli.
