Julian

I think I was here in late 2005. We had apple pie there. Sure enough, it was great. Interesting to note that when I tried to think back about what Julian was memorable for, I thought of the apple pie. Somebody has already tagged Julian with that plush desert.

I love Julian. It’s the closest place to San Diego to get away and play in the snow.

Back when “Cal Fed” was still Glendale Federal, they had a special raffle at my branch in the Mission Valley area. We won some Julian pies for Thanksgiving. Terrific! Definitely better than the hash browns I won at McDonald’s.

If you like apple pie, and you are passing through southern california near San Diego, check out Julian. Great atmosphere and delicious baked goods. The drive up is beautiful.
