Philadelphia International Airport aka: PHL

Good shopping, pretty good food, good coffee, has a light rail connection to downtown. Grab a coffee, a paper, and a seat in one of their rocking chairs and pass the time.

...then it’s worth visiting. However, they have a reputation for letting passengers sit on the runway both coming and going for long periods of time.

Well, if I’ve been to the city, it stands to reason that I’ve been to the airport.

Maybe it was just the terminal I was in for Northwest Airlines, but it seemed like such an ugly dingy airport for a large city such as Philly. Needs a makeover. Plus it took 30-45 minutes for the Thifty car rental driver to pick us up. I was pretty pissed cause we ended up not getting to our hotel til almost 1 am because of him.

I got stuck here when my flight from Denver was delayed and I missed my connecting flight by five or ten minutes. They only held it for 15 minutes and it was the last flight out to Portland, ME. I had to take a flight into Boston instead, and they held that one for half an hour. Then I didn’t get my bags in Portland the next day like I was supposed to.
