Not worth visiting!
At 535 ft. above sea level, this is the highest point in the State of Louisiana. It is the lowest highest elevation in the United States. Please see a list of my entries about sites in Bienville Parish, including my story about my Great-Aunt Mamie’s visit to a community near Mt. Driskill called Jamestown.

Worth visiting!
Don’t go in the summer, it was pretty hot. Short interesting walk, for two reasons: 1. It’s a highpoint 2. It was the favorite trail of the founder of the Highpointers Club, and there’s a memorial for him there. We should build him a nicer one. I’ll contribute the first $100 for a little monument!
