It was as quiet as falling snow and just as beautiful. We spent over an hour there, despite the fact that we were 10 hours into a car trip from Texas. It was one of the most magical and beautiful moments of my life. over 6 years agoIt's the altitude right? by hippie1427We hiked down into the canyon from the visitors center. The trail leads downs a rock slide. It is very rugged. The altitude where I live is about 0 – 500 ft, and the altitude there is more like 5000 i think. I’m blaming that, because this trail is only a mile long, but it drops over 2000 ft. Going down took us 1.5 hours, and coming up took 3. I’m blaming the altitude. : ) Basking on the rocks by a mountain stream, surrounded by pine, canyon walls, and the odd fisherman? Priceless. over 6 years agoSee all 6 entries |
