Beautiful Views... viewed by ALL by harmonyb

I recommend taking the hike from the blackwoods camping area up Cadillac Mountain for the great hike and beautiful views as you journey upwards. A moderately difficult hike, I enjoyed it greatly, despite the anti-climatic ending. It was a little disappointing to reach the summit only to find a full parking lot and loads and loads of tourists… for a more pristine view, take the hike from Jordan Pond up Penobscott to Sergent Mountain.

Sunrises and sunsets are both beautiful from the top of Cadillac, and the road is an easy drive (as long as your brakes work fine) :-) It’s said that at some times of year, Cadillac is the first place on the East Coast to see the sun.
