Magical place  — 6 months ago

    Worth visiting!

This is an incredible place. My daughter is 9yo and she had the best time ever at the swimming pools. The Tarzan rope was her absolutelly favorite place.
Meanwhile we had great cocktails by the pool.
    Loved every minute there!
My advice to every one is rent a car as soon as you get in Maui.
It will make your life much easier and you get to go to a million beautiful places. Don’t miss the trip to Lanai by ferry. Cheap and gorgeous!

We stayed at the Four Seasons  — 1 year ago

    Worth visiting!

next door, our friends were at this hotel. We had dinner at Hummu hummu (pricey but beautiful sunset views) and I did a couple of spa visits to the spa at Grand Wailea. The spa experience was top notch.

    Not worth it!

I stayed here one night while on my honeymoon about two years ago. The hotel property is beautiful, but the service is awful. Sure, we had a bad experiencing checking in, but that might have just been a one off occurance. Things that would drive me crazy regardless is things like after we finished with our room service, we pressed the button for them to come pick up our dishes. Whenever you dial any service in the hotel, you get a computer voice response system, and have to punch #2 for pick up, and then your room number etc..

Anyway, today I received a notice of a class action lawsuit against them, and I couldn’t be happier. The lawsuit is against ‘KSL Properties’, which at the time, owned ‘Grand Wailea Resort Hotel & Spa on Maui in Wailea’. They are being sued over the junk fees included in the bill. I was really miffed when we checked out, and in addition to the $400+ room charge, we have these bogus resort charges added to the bill. These things aren’t disclosed when you book your room, and they don’t tell you about them at checkin. If they want to charge $7.50 more per night, why not add it into the room charge? I’m glad something is being done about these add one junk fees.

Why I recommend this place to visitors  — 2 years ago

    Worth visiting!

If you are visiting Maui for a vacation (such as a Honeymoon) I VERY HIGHLY recommend this place!!!!! It is EXCEPTIONAL! Everything about is absolutely amazing! The people that work there are EXTREMELY nice and helpful! The restaurants there are not only delicious but also have amazing service and atmosphere. If you like sushi, you’ve gotta try the Japanese restaurant in the resort called “Kincha”... everything tastes incredibley fresh! The rooms themselves are completely out of this world! Everything about them is pure tropical luxury! (Don’t forget to eat the chocolate-covered macadamia nuts in the fridge!) Oh and the pool… WOW!!! If you want to see some pictures, I believe they have some on the website. (www.grandwailea.com) Oh! And if you can, get the Breakfast Buffet Special… it’s SO worth it!!
