Gene and Georgetti Italian Steak House

After research I expected a great steak and nice pleasant surroundings. I got neither. My wife’s steak was undercooked, the potatoes very unsatisfying, and the room very noisy, and unsettling.

Only been there once…. they don’t get a second chance.

I’ve heard many who say that they are “the best” but on my visit it was overly crowded, hot, noisy, smokey, with indifferent service (and rude at the front reception) and meat slightly overcooked—(except for the person who ordered rare) even those of us at medium rare found it overdone; and the two individuals at medium and medium well (ugh) were really overdone…. as if the chef was deliberately saying “I’ll show you for destroying my creation… I’ll push it past the extreme”...

On my list of places I will return is another restaurant that is too crowded and noisy, but it is not hot and the servce is mediocre not great…. but oh, those steaks… you could take anything to have them—unfortunately such is not the case at Gene and Georgetti
