Ile D'Orléans

So worth visiting! This is one of the nicest place in Quebec, if not THE nicest place, with Quebec City.

Despite being near a large metropolitain center, Ile D’orleans still holds onto it’s rural character. Many lazy day things to do here. Bed & Breakfast is one of the island’s leading industries. There is a decent camp ground. Many a good bistros. At the end of the ilsand in Ste-Famille there is a little chocolatier and ice cream shop featuring all home made goodies.

Horseback riding, wine making tours… You could spend a few days here. Montmorency Falls is right straight ahead of you as you cross the brisge back to the mainland. Lot’s to discover here on the escarpment, have a lunch at the manoir. The fireworks festival in late July early August has the waterfalls and a natural amphitheatre.
