This is probably my favourite place in Edinburgh. I come here so often it feels like its my art gallery…in fact I get very territorial during tourist-peak times. There are so many amazing paintings and works of art here. I love the religious paintings..and the two very fine El Greco’s, wonderful Titians (there’s no vengence like greek-god vengence..), great early italians upstairs…and its all free…

A horse's... urm... by calypte

It was actually kind of dull. Much more fun escaping and going to sit in the Gardens chatting to 99!

But I guess I’ll go back – there’s as much fun people watching as looking at the art. Man, were those 18thC artists obsessed with horses behinds!! ;)

Alone by calypte

Yes, I’ve been here. Loads, actually. But not on my own, and not since I actually moved to Edinburgh. Time to stop walking past and have a wander round – especially since it’s free! :)
