The woods are really peaceful at night

Quite possibly my favorite part of the park. It’s relatively quiet, although there aren’t too many places to sit and enjoy it. Good place for bird watching — I saw black-capped chickadees and cardinals despite the 100 degree heat.

New York's answer to the wilderness... by cranberrygoddess

A more wild area of central park, it’s a great place to get lost and see squirrels.
