Po Lin Monastery

This was one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen. This Buddha is enormous. It is amazing how many old Asian ladies you see walking up the hundreds of stairs to see the Buddha. Breathtaking.

P.S. The food there is AWESOME. If you pack a lunch, don’t bring any meat because you’re not allowed to eat it there.x%x

This place was fantastic. I caught a ferry across Hong Kong harbour, jumped on another ferry to Lantau Island, then got on a bus and travelled across the island to the monastery. Amazing island sights and welcoming people at Po Lin. One of those life moments…

it was nice for a look-see, but i’m not a huge fan of religious decor. the food was great though!

otherwise i’m not too sure how to react to this place…
