Cape Floristic Region aka: Cape Floral Region, Cape Floral Region Protected Areas

This is actually made up of eight protected areas in Cape Province, South Africa.

The Cape Floral Region is one of the richest areas for plants in the world. Although less than 1/2 of 1% of the area of Africa but is home to nearly 20% of the continent’s flora.

In particular the Fynbos vegetation is unique to the Cape Floral Region.
