A tip I have about this place  — 1 year ago

Worth visiting!

Going to Batad is like being transported to another time, well, other than the tin roofs, that is. A tip for those heading to Batad: Get yourself ready for some intense hiking! It takes about an hour’s hike to reach the town and if you want to visit Tappia Falls, you better prepare yourself for another 2 hour hike. The wonderful thing about hiking to Tappia is that you actually pass along the rice terraces! Don’t forget to dive in the frigid waters to refresh yourself for the hike back up.

a different view of the Ifugao Rice Terraces  — 2 years ago

... could be seen from Batad.

I’ve heard so many times how more pristine everything is there… how the rice terraces rise like amphitheater seats around you as you lodge in nipa huts and enjoy super fresh veggie rice… you swim in really cold rivers and enjoy really cold waterfalls…
