A review of this place: I've heard it called the surfing capital of Chile — 1 year ago
Worth visiting!
We took a weekend trip here from Santiago while I was studying abroad.
I went surfing for the first time here! We got a half hour of lessons and an hour of surfing (including board “tabla” rental & wetsuits—it is COLD!) for… I feel like maybe $30 – ridiculous. It was fantastic and so gorgeous.
We hitchhiked to the surf (Chile is one of the safest places in the world to hitchhike, mind you) and bought some seafood empanadas (famous Chilean food) off of some people on the beach. Great memories.
