Puerto De La Cruz

I went there in 2003. Tenerife is small, vibrant and beautiful. Go up Pico del Tiede if you can. Traveling by bus to the base of the mountain is incredible. You go from tropical weather through forrests and clouds, reaching a desert like barren area sculpted by erosion and geological activity. The best part about the island is the black beaches with contrasting waves crashing into the rocks… amazing! There are loads of things to do around the island. Impossible to be bored! The nightlife in Puerto is excellent too and the people are really friendly!
