Why I recommend this place to visitors
I think that pretty much every London schoolkid comes here on a school trip. It was the very first zoo that I ever visited as a little ‘un.
It’s also the filming location for the scenes in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone when Harry first realises that he can communicate with snakes :)

The last time I went to this place
I was 3 or 4, and we caught the tube into London, parking our car on the outskirts. I can’t really remember much of it, but I know me and Eppy (my friend from nursery) rode on a camel, and I got a peacock feather. It was lots of fun, but I will have to go again. Be a proper tourist in London sometime.

My London Zoo favourite is this Okapi
The beautiful Opaki is a shy, timid animal from the dense rainforests Central Africa. They love to eat leaves, bark, and fruit. She looks like a mix of deer, horse, and zebra. I love the her neat markings, big eyes and ears, tiny horns, and especially that long black tongue! She was very timid and sweet but when I called to her in a low, sweet voice she did come near.

Mark loves the Gorilla the most
at London Zoo. I think they’re scary looking but I’ll admit they’re really intelligent. It makes me think of that Gorilla Koko who knows sign language and had a cat named All Ball. They even sell Koko Art on her site!

The African wild dog, also known as the Cape hunting dog.
