Like no other!
I was stationed at Cape Christian Loran from 1968 to 1969. It was really different considering I’m an okie from Oklahoma. Did get to see a Norwhale while there and visit the Eskimo village. I still have pictures some where and will post if I find them. I was just a lowly S3. Harlan Clark 1966 to 1970.

The last time I went to this place
I was stationed here from Aug 1959 to Sep 1960. It was one of the best learning years of my life although somewhat unplesant at times. Michael D. Doyle CS3 at the time. Bruce Hartman EM2 was also there then, a good friend.

A review of this place
It was a USCG LORAN Station. I was an EN2 stationed here for a year in 1959-1960, with Ltjg Ken Palfrey as the CO. While we were there we thought we hated the place. The most harsh environment on earth.

Cape Christian
The US Coast Guard had a Long Range Aids to Navigation station at Cape Christian. I was stationed there in 1960 and 1961.
