It is so close to a lot of Orange County and has a great atmosphere. Family friendly and college student friendly! :)

Does anyone know of any good and relatively inexpensive sushi places in the Fullerton/Brea area? I’ve been to Chomp and a few places off of Yorba Linda, but all were a bit on the pricey side. Any suggestions?

i lived here for about a year when my sister and i were fighting, a friend took me in. i changed alot living here and basically grew up from being a selfish little brat to who i am now.

But every time I’ve been there, I’ve discovered something new about it, whether it’s someone’s choice for an excellent meal or a really comfy home or a nice place to kill some time. And a couple of great local bands help sell the spot even more, if you ask me!

There’s a bunch to do and see, and despite the local’s protests the OCA Transit authority runs a very good bus system.

I saw an okay performance of Hedwig and the Angry Inch here, and there’s a good Oaxacan restaurant, so that’s something. But don’t bother going to the First Night celebration.

depends on what yr looking for of course. it’s a comfortable, middle class, mostly well kept city with good schools, etc. not a whole lot of sites, but that’s ok… we like to stay undercover cool around here. here’s a link to a story in the local alternative rag about bars/bands downtown: http://www.ocweekly.com/ink/04/40/hello.php
(excerpt) “Whenever we’re at a live-music impasse, we head to downtown Fullerton, where on any weekend night, we can walk the streets and indulge in 10 different bands playing from a variety of genres. You want blues? There’s Stubrik’s Steakhouse. Jazz? Steamers, of course. Noisy punk and pop, made all the more potent with a readily available hookah? That’s the Santa Fe Café. Cover bands? The Tuscany Club. Lounge/jazz/R&B? The Continental Room. Downtown Fullerton—like Havana before Castro, kinda!”
