Side

Side is a bit of a tourist trap, one of the only places I went on the coast that was still crowded with foreigners in February. It’s worth a trip, though, for the pretty harbor and ruins on the beach – such a perfect setting.

A beautiful city with a bit of culture on the side.

Went on l holiday to side with a large number of my family (my aunt has a villa there) and had a fantastic time. The sea is beautifully blue… we hired a boat for the day and saw giant turtles- go on a boat trip if you can. The only bad thing about side is the pushy shopkeepers, but when buying always haggle!

Pictures of this place look amazing…but it really isn’t worth it unless you are travelling through. DO NOT go on a package holiday here (like I was unfortunate to have taken pat in). In fact, don’t go on a package holiday anywhere! Not unless you’re in a large family or are lazy.

A small touristic town with historical monuments and a very nice sandy beach. The water is one of the most warmest and saltiest in the northern Mediterranean area.
