Montañita

i love this town…its tiny but great for tourists. its the one place in ecuador where no one cares how other ppl look or what youre wearing and is a perfect little hippy town. there are a ton of hostels, surf schools and trips to go snorkeling or scuba diving. during the day its quite and peaceful but at night its huge party sceen. one of the times i went there one night during carneaval and the whole beach was absolutely with ppl dancing and huge bonfires. they set up 2 or 3 diff areas with different types of music from reggaton to salsa! it was great.

I went for 2 days and stayed 10. It is the most fun little, hippie surfing town in all of ecuador. Really cool and a great place to relax, surf, hike and get away.
