If you like mass tourism and a lot of ugly Brits and Dutch, this is the place for you. If you want to see a bit of Spain, go anywhere but here.

Nice place! Spent a few summers here. Definitely quieter than other tourist areas of spain, and within easy distance of Nerja, Mijas, Marbella and Puerto Banus. Can always find a nice little plaza with a restaurant or two if you take the time to discover the town.

I lived in Benalmadena for a little while, and enjoyed it. Many many restaurants to choose from and lots of lovely beaches. Great night life in ‘24 hour square’... Not for those looking particularly for a cultured holiday, but nice all the same.
